What you need to know
Help shape the future of talent at the Bank of Canada by modernizing HR programs, including identifying opportunities to use technology, AI and automation to create better experiences for employees and leaders.
Reporting to the Deputy Managing Director of HR, you will work with HR leaders to simplify and strengthen key talent programs, combining research, workforce insights and emerging practices to shape practical, sustainable solutions with enterprise-wide impact.
What you need to succeed
You bring practical experience designing or delivering talent management programs such as succession management, performance management, talent reviews, skills frameworks or career architecture. You combine strong strategic and systems thinking with an understanding of current talent research, workforce trends, data and leading practices to turn insights into practical recommendations.
You are comfortable advising senior leaders, influencing stakeholders and leading transformation in complex environments. You can assess risks and trade-offs, identify practical uses for AI and digital tools, communicate clearly with different audiences, and bring a continuous improvement mindset to simplify processes and improve employee and leader experiences.
Nice-to-have
This position requires 7 to 10 years of experience in Human Resources, talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce strategy, leadership development or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of leading complex, enterprise-wide initiatives and advising senior leaders.
A university degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations, Public Administration, Information Management or Organizational Psychology is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

We value candidates who demonstrate adaptability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn new technologies, including AI and digital tools. We seek individuals who can think critically about data, question existing processes, and find ways to simplify our work while embracing change and new ways of doing things.
Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. The position language requirement is Level 5 (Fully Functional). If a qualified candidate who meets the language requirement of the position is not found, a qualified candidate who does not meet the language requirement may be considered. Training may be provided to help reach the required level.

Hybrid Work Model
The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a portion of each month as part of the Bank’s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month to help build connections between colleagues.
You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
