The ideal candidate will anticipate client needs, think critically, and offer professional, confident solutions to drive business success. You will play a key role in relationship building, strategic business growth, and identifying opportunities for expanding services for existing clients.

Role Overview

As a Business Manager, you will

• Focus on the overall health of client relationships at VP, C-level, and Marketing Manager/Director levels.
• Manage the profitability of your assigned accounts while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams across strategy, project management, creative, and media to exceed client expectations.
• Leverage your bilingual expertise to provide seamless communication and support to clients in both official languages.
• Support Business Leads to ensure monthly revenue targets are met

You will report to a Business Lead and Head of Client Business depending on the client and collaborate daily with our senior management and cross-functional teams.

Your responsibilities

Strategic Client Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients & stakeholders
• Proactively identify opportunities for new services or solutions aligned with client goals.
• Develop and execute short-, mid-, and long-term account plans for client growth.
• Provide strategic advice and actionable insights in collaboration with the strategy team.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and first point of contact for client opportunities and challenges.

Project Oversight

• Scope and plan client proposals, ensuring budgets and timelines are met.
• Partner with Project Management to ensure successful project delivery within scope, timelines, and profitability goals.
• Regularly share learnings from projects and client communications with internal teams to enhance collaboration and outcomes.

Business Development

• Promote Acart’s capabilities confidently, including the agency’s full range of services and expertise with all clients
• Actively contribute to ideation sessions with the strategic, media and creative services teams to expose clients to innovative ideas and concepts.

Leadership & Communication

• Act as a champion for professionalism, collaboration, and mutual respect, both internally and externally.
• Foster a positive, solutions-driven environment that encourages team engagement.
• Ensure Acart’s values and policies are reflected in all interactions and processes.

You bring

• Demonstrated ability to manage marketing budgets and oversee multiple accounts and projects.
• 3–5 years of account management or senior marketing management experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• A proven ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Resourceful and strategic mindset, with a commitment to delivering measurable results.
• In-depth understanding of marketing, advertising, and agency processes.
• Ottawa (hybrid) or GTA (remote) based
• Bilingual (EN/FR) is an asset (not a requirement)
