Lead Major Mining & Industrial Projects Across Canada & the U.S.
MineSpec Resources is seeking an experienced Project Development & Construction Manager to lead complex industrial and mining infrastructure projects across Canada and the United States.
This is a field-focused leadership role for construction professionals who thrive in fast-paced industrial environments and have experience managing multidisciplinary scopes in active construction settings.
You will work alongside experienced construction professionals delivering technically challenging mining and industrial projects while benefiting from a rotational schedule designed to support both strong compensation and long-term sustainability.
Why Join MineSpec?
At MineSpec, we focus on practical construction execution and field-driven leadership. We build experienced, highly capable project teams that solve problems, collaborate effectively, and deliver quality work safely and efficiently.
Sustainable High Performance
MineSpec is focused on building a long-term, high-performance culture. We believe exceptional project leadership should not require sacrificing your entire personal life.
This role combines office-based project development work with site-based construction execution, offering a dynamic mix of environments throughout the project lifecycle. Our work arrangements are designed to support both strong annual compensation and long-term sustainability for our people and their families.
Standard 40-hour work weeks during project development, procurement, and planning phases
Site-based rotational assignments, typically 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, during construction execution
Travel to project sites, client offices, MineSpec offices, and stakeholder meetings across North America
Office, home-based, or hybrid environments depending on project phase and assignment
The Project Development & Construction Manager serves as MineSpec's senior representative on assigned projects and acts as the primary interface between MineSpec, the client organization, EPCMs, contractors, and project stakeholders.
This is a unique role that combines project development, construction management, owner's representative support, contractor management, procurement, execution planning, and client relationship management into a single leadership position.
Unlike a traditional Project Manager role that focuses primarily on construction execution, this position supports projects from early development through construction completion.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping project execution strategies, developing procurement packages, supporting contractor selection, managing stakeholder relationships, and ultimately helping lead project delivery during construction.
The successful candidate will support projects through multiple phases:
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable participating in executive planning meetings, facilitating contractor strategy sessions, developing procurement packages, reviewing engineering deliverables, leading constructability reviews, supporting business development initiatives, and managing field execution teams during active construction.
Candidates should expect periodic involvement during scheduled time off to support critical project requirements, client needs, and project continuity - consistent with the senior client-facing nature of this role.
All project-related travel, accommodations, meals, and transportation are covered by MineSpec.
MineSpec was built around experienced construction professionals from Tier 1 General Contractors. We place significant value on candidates who bring practical construction execution expertise
