Accountant - Entry Level

Our client is looking for an Entry-Level Accountant to join their team in Edmonton, Alberta. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting career while gaining hands-on experience in accounts payable, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining accurate financial records in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter and code vendor invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Reconcile vendor invoices, related accounts, and bank deposits.
• Assist with weekly cheque runs, ensuring approvals are obtained and payment procedures are followed.
• Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and verify supporting receipts and approvals.
• Process monthly employee expense claims for payment.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and account information.
• Support day-to-day accounting operations while maintaining accurate financial records.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting duties and process improvement initiatives as needed.
