Teacher or Teacher Assistant Educator

Instructors (3 instructors) are required to instruct pre-school, kindergarten to grade 6 students in school bus safety. Two full time position (September to June) One required for 10-16 week contract with possible extension. Training on school bus safety is provided. Must be interested in students safety and willing to assist in developing programs. Some travel to rural schools in the Edmonton area is required.

All expenses for travel will be covered.

Qualifications

Experience with children. Comfortable presenting to large groups of students (10-45 students). NOT required to drive a school bus.

Must have own reliable transportation. Mileage will be paid. Applicant must be able to provide a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check. Applicant must be physically able to assist student exit out of the rear door of a school bus, able to handle last minute schedule changes, and have full access to a computer and email. Applicants must be comfortable with traveling independently to unfamiliar schools.

Puppeteering experience would be an assets but not required(will train).
