Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering social and emotional development, and supporting children's individual needs.

The Early Childhood Teacher will work closely with children, parents, and colleagues to promote a positive learning experience that encourages growth and curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and developmental needs
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements and classroom management strategies
• Incorporate bilingual instruction (English/French) when applicable to support diverse learners
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with disabilities or special needs
• Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
• Demonstrate leadership in managing classroom routines and guiding children's behavior
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs preferred
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
• Excellent organizational skills for managing classroom activities and documentation
• Ability to demonstrate leadership and time management skills in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in computer operation for documentation, lesson planning, and communication tools
• Classroom experience that showcases creativity, patience, and adaptability
• Relevant certifications or credentials in early childhood education are preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
