Ultimate Tradesmen is a leading labour partnership company in Western Canada, connecting skilled trades professionals with ongoing construction projects. We are currently hiring a Safety Officer with an NCSO designation to support an active construction project in Edmonton.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to join our team on an ongoing construction project in Edmonton. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining site safety programs, ensuring compliance with Alberta OH&S regulations, and promoting a strong safety culture on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety plans and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, and prepare reports.
• Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S legislation and company safety policies.
• Work closely with site supervisors, trades, and project management to maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and records.

Requirements

• Valid NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) designation (required).
• Advanced First Aid certification (required).
• Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of Alberta OH&S regulations and construction safety standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 are assets.
