Job Summary

The Cloud Pre-Sales Engineer will work closely with customers, sales teams, cloud partners, and technical teams to design, present, and deliver cloud solutions.

This role combines cloud infrastructure knowledge, technical consulting, customer engagement, and solution presentation skills.

The ideal candidate has experience with AWS/GCP environments and enjoys working with customers to understand requirements, recommend solutions, and support cloud adoption.

Key ResponsibilitiesCloud Solution Consulting & Pre-Sales

• Provide technical consultation and advisory support for AWS and Google Cloud solutions.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable cloud architectures.
• Support sales teams during technical discussions, proposals, and solution planning.
• Prepare and conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept sessions.
• Explain cloud solutions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

Customer Enablement & Technical Support

• Support customer onboarding and cloud adoption activities.
• Handle technical enquiries related to cloud services, infrastructure, and billing.
• Provide guidance on cloud architecture, security, scalability, and best practices.
• Assist customers in improving their cloud environment and usage.

Cloud Optimisation

• Analyse cloud usage and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Recommend improvements for performance, reliability, and resource efficiency.
• Support customers in managing cloud consumption and billing-related matters.

Collaboration

• Work closely with AWS/GCP partners, internal engineering teams, and regional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Taiwan-based technical teams to support customer projects.
• Keep updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends.

RequirementsTechnical Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in cloud infrastructure, migration, deployment, or technical support.
• Good understanding of cloud technologies including:
• Compute services
• Networking
• Storage
• Database services
• Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Monitoring and cloud optimisation tools

Customer-Facing Experience

• Experience in technical consulting, solution engineering, pre-sales, or customer support roles.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to customers with different levels of technical knowledge.

Language Requirements

• Japanese: Native level preferred / JLPT N1 preferred
• (Strong JLPT N2 candidates with business communication ability will also be considered)
• Mandarin Chinese: Fluent spoken and written communication required.
• English: Business communication level required.Preferred Certifications

Candidates with cloud certifications are highly preferred

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner / Associate Certifications
• Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
