St Joseph’s Institution International School (SJIIS) is a Lasallian International School (3 to 18 years). It prepares students for the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level examinations with an emphasis upon research-based teaching pedagogy and a character-building programme of activities inspired by the school’s Lasallian heritage.

This includes service learning initiatives, and a holistic approach to sport, music and the arts.

Requirements

We are looking for a committed, passionate and knowledgeable professional who will work proactively to ensure the best possible teaching of English. Prior experience in teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A Level English Language and Literature is essential.

Responsibility

● Oversee pedagogical practices and classroom management within the department to ensure high quality teaching and learning occurs. This will include modeling excellent teaching practices to other staff within the department.

● To promote the Lasallian Mission and Core Values of SJIIS

● Ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reports across the department meet the expectations of the school

● Demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge and support the continued development of the English Language and Literature curriculum

● Demonstrate a proactive approach towards professional development

● To actively contribute to wider school development and growth
