Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

SUMMARY The senior mechanical design engineer in Gutor shall work in a multi-national team of leading mechanical design engineers and experts. In this role, the engineer can demonstrate one’s skill and experience through exciting development projects, including sustainability projects, new product development/introduction, industrial standard compliance, cost-optimization and design standardization.

The engineer will also support special design requests and work closely with all other departments to ensure all their expertly designed drawings and parts are integratable smoothly into the UPS applied

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support front end / production in producing 3D CAD drawing based on Gutor design rules, knowledge and experience Able to run sustaining / development projects in addition to supporting daily business To maintain engineering databases and design / process documentations Have a strong understanding of mechanical design impact across multiple discipline (e.g. process flow, production feasibility, front-end team capability, physical impact on system like space, heat, voltage-risk, etc.) Able to command respect and trust with strong communication skills and producing high quality solutions within the project time frame Driven to build up expertise of the team / company by sharing knowledge via written design rules / white papers, training, database improvements or creation of tools and templates Good concept of industrialization and sustainability approach
• Designs shall not only cater multi-discipline needs, but also cost-effective, space efficient, reproducible, resistant to tolerances / other errors, and highly adaptable to different applications with minimal variations as possible KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• REQUIRED Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 3D CAD Software – e.g. Solidworks (minimum 4 years) Experience in mechanical design/visualization of electrical systems solutions as for example complex distribution system Capable to self-organize and drive multiple work priorities in parallel effectively Decision-making, able to take decisive actions based on technical and procedural facts and experience Capable to follow and practice international standard process flows and safety regulations tailored to Gutor requirements Leadership and influential, acting as the pillar of expertise and support for the team and company Proficient in written and spoken English language Shall be able to use MS. Office suite (e.g. Excel, Word, Powerpoint) KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
