ASSISTANT MANAGER MECHANICAL

Design & Technical OversightIntegrated Building Services:

Manage the end-to-end mechanical design process during tender and delivery, focusing on HVAC/Mechanical Ventilation & Fire Suppression/Detection systems.

Technical Review:

Review tender and delivery design documents, drawings, calculations, and reports produced by consultants for technical compliance, constructability, and cost efficiency.

Value Engineering:

Lead value engineering exercises to optimize equipment selection, material selection, simplify installation methodologies, and identify alternative technical solutions that balance CAPEX/OPEX without compromising safety or performance.

Interdisciplinary Coordination:

Coordinate and interface with ID Designer, Architects, Electrical, Civil, Structural, and Project Management teams to ensure integration works and resolve issues with related parties.

Lifecycle Awareness:

Resolve and propose solutions that are cost-conscious regarding construction, Testing & Commissioning (T&C), As Built Drawing, and long-term Facilities Management (FM).

Continuous Improvement:

Conduct post-tender and post-completion design reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future delivery benchmarks.

Site Supervision:

Supervise and manage site operations to meet project deadlines in accordance with project schedules, layouts, drawings, and specifications. Attend project monitoring site work progress, sub-con, and workers attendance. Liaise with main contractors, Builders, Consultants, and other M&E services.

Working Independent:

Responsible and able to work independently with workers, supervisors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth work delivery.

Consultant & Stakeholder ManagementConsultant Oversight:

Manage and coordinate with external design consultants during all project phases, ensuring alignment with company project objectives and standards.

Contractual Management:

Develop and manage consultant Scope of Work (SoW), deliverable schedules, and performance metrics.

Conflict Resolution:

Lead design coordination meetings to resolve interdisciplinary technical clashes and ensure seamless system integration.

Team & LeadershipMentorship:

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior mechanical engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Innovation:

Stay updated on emerging technologies in building services, such as District Cooling Systems (DCS), smart building automation, sustainable/green building technologies (LEED/GBI), and IoT-enabled solutions.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Competency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and mechanical modeling software (e.g., Carrier HAP, Bluebeam).

Strong technical writing skills and the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge of smart ACMV controls, Building Management Systems (BMS), and/or Energy Management Systems (EMS).

Experience in chilled water system installation, ducting installation, and VRV/VRF installation.

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in building services (ACMV / Fire Protection) design or construction.
