Data Operations Coordinator

We are looking for a Data Operations Coordinator to support our commercial advisory work for an expanding pan-African client engagement. This role focuses on the practical management and verification of information used to form high-stakes investment decisions.

In this capacity, you will ensure that the data supporting our partner-led advice is accurate, current, and relevant to the specific market conditions our clients face. This is a fully remote position that requires a disciplined approach to information gathering and a clear understanding of how raw data influences commercial judgment.

The work supports advice given to senior leaders on matters of capital deployment and joint ventures where ground reality is more important than theoretical models.

What you will do

• Organize and maintain internal databases that track counterparty behavior and commercial metrics across the territory.
• Extract and categorize key information from commercial documents, regulatory filings, and partnership agreements.
• Verify the accuracy of specific data points used in investment reports for sovereign entities and large family groups.
• Support the senior advisory team in preparing evidence-based positions for high-stakes client negotiations.
• Cross-reference multiple information sources to identify discrepancies in how competitors or partners report their activities.
• Standardize data entries across different workstreams to ensure consistency in our internal research logs.
• Monitor updates from market regulators and industry bodies to keep project data aligned with recent changes.
• Assist in the production of brief, evidence-backed summaries that detail the recent behavior of commercial entities in the market.

What you bring

• A university degree or equivalent background in business, finance, or a related field with a strong interest in information management.
• Strong logical reasoning and the ability to spot patterns or inconsistencies within complex sets of commercial information.
• Excellent writing skills with a focus on being concise and direct rather than using descriptive or flowery language.
• A genuine curiosity regarding how large-scale investments and joint ventures are structured in high-stakes environments.
• A meticulous approach to data entry and verification, valuing the accuracy of the record over the speed of completion.
• Comfort working independently in a fully remote environment while staying aligned with the broader senior team.
