Bookkeeper

An exciting opportunity exists for a Bookkeeper based in the East of Johannesburg for a candidate with a strong foundation in accounting and a confident, people-oriented approach.

Duties & Responsibilities

This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being actively involved across the bookkeeping function.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities
• Processing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
• Performing bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assisting with monthly reporting and financial preparation
• Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls
• Supporting the finance team with ad hoc administrative and accounting tasks

Education

• BCom Degree

Skills and Experience

• 2–3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or junior accounting role
• Solid understanding of general bookkeeping principles
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Confident, resilient, and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment
• Bilingual communication skills (advantageous)
• Open to candidates from various industry backgrounds
