Registered Nurse

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role based in Centurion. The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions in line with clinical protocols and best practices.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, coordinating diagnostic tests, and maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, educating patients and families on treatment plans and preventive care, and ensuring adherence to infection prevention and control standards.

The Registered Nurse will also support quality improvement initiatives, participate in clinical audits, and help maintain a safe, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Valid registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant nursing council and a recognized nursing qualification (Diploma or Degree in Nursing).
• Demonstrated clinical competency in patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs.
• Strong skills in patient education, communication with families, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control, occupational health and safety standards, and clinical risk management.
• Ability to maintain accurate medical records, use electronic health record systems, and follow hospital or clinic documentation protocols.
• Experience in acute care, medical-surgical, or specialized units (e.g., ICU, emergency, primary care) is advantageous.
• Resilience, sound judgment, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required, and to participate in ongoing professional development.
