Reporting To: Regional CEO (Direct) | CHRO International (Functional)

Direct Reports: Regional HR Operations, Health & Safety, Analyst and Talent Acquisition | Cluster HR Directors (6) & Head of Shared Services

About the Role

We are seeking a Regional HR Director – Africa to lead the HR function across the Africa region. The primary purpose of this role is to enable the Region to achieve its strategic and financial objectives as set out in the business plan.

Crucially, this role operates in strict accordance with the group-wide approach to HR and Health & Safety (H&S) in G4S/Allied Universal, making H&S leadership a fundamental part of your daily mandate.

You will partner with executive leadership to ensure that divisional and regional business plans take full account of the people and organizational issues that materially affect performance.

• Forward-Thinking Leadership: You will support the Next Level Leadership Programme (or equivalent) to secure divisional/regional talent and succession requirements, while driving best practice sharing across the business.

⚓ Reliability

• Executive Talent Management: You will recruit MDs, HR Directors, and other critical roles, managing talent and succession processes to assess the resource and capability required to deliver the business plan.
• Consistent Oversight: You will oversee compensation and benefits for the senior population, including the reliable administration of annual pay review and bonus processes.
• Monitoring Performance: You will monitor HR service and performance in business units, dependably driving performance improvements where material gaps or risks are identified.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

• A relevant formal tertiary qualification, with an MBA or Masters preferred
• 8+ years' leadership experience in a large dispersed Multi National
• Experience in a labour-intensive service industry or dealing with a blue-collar workforce environment is essential to the success of this role
• Proven experience in dealing with employee relations strategy is preferred.
• Experience in leading and managing H&S programs and performance is advantageous but not required
