The Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) is seeking a Process Engineer based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, on a full-time basis. This role sits at the centre of the Bank's digital transformation journey and focuses on improving the way work flows across the value chain.

The successful candidate will analyse, redesign, digitise, and optimise business processes so they are efficient, standardised, integrated, and aligned to DBSA's technology enablement objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Analyse, document, and redesign end-to-end business processes across DBSA's value chain to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and overall business performance.
• Provide capacity building support to business units on process mapping methodologies, modelling principles, and standardised ways of working.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process review sessions with stakeholders to gather insights, validate current-state processes, and define future-state improvements.
• Identify bottlenecks, duplicated activities, manual interventions, and operational inefficiencies, then recommend practical process improvements.
• Apply approved process modelling standards and methodologies consistently across the organisation to support a common and disciplined approach.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that are aligned to operational priorities, digital transformation objectives, and measurable business outcomes.
• Maintain a central repository of process guidelines, frameworks, models, workflows, and documentation so that records remain current, accurate, and usable.
• Work with business analysts, solution architects, developers, and project teams to ensure that process design is aligned to system changes, implementation work, and transformation initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in process engineering, business analysis, industrial engineering, operations, or a related field is typically required.
• Strong knowledge of business process modelling, including BPMN, capability mapping, and process optimisation techniques.
• Practical experience in digitalisation and automation, ideally across ERP, CRM, procurement, treasury, or similar enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated ability to define process metrics, interpret performance data, and create dashboards or reports that support executive decision-making.
• Solid understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and root cause analysis methods for continuous improvement and re-engineering.
• Knowledge of governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to embed controls into business processes.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and communicating technical process matters in clear, business-oriented language.
• The ability to coach, mentor, and support teams so that process engineering capability grows within the organisation.
