Senior Data Analyst (Core Banking) - Contract

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join a large-scale banking transformation programme.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects and engineering teams to analyse complex banking data, define business requirements and produce detailed source-to-target mappings that enable enterprise data solutions.

Candidates must have strong Core Banking experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyse complex banking data and business processes.
• Gather and document business and data requirements.
• Produce detailed Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documentation.
• Define business rules and transformation logic.
• Perform data profiling and data quality assessments.
• Work closely with Data Engineers to productionise solutions.
• Support enterprise data migration and integration initiatives.
• Validate data accuracy throughout delivery.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• 6+ years Data Analysis experience.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Extensive Source-to-Target Mapping experience.
• Data profiling and data quality analysis.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Mandatory Banking Experience

Applicants must have recent experience working within Core Banking or Financial Services, with exposure to banking products, transactional systems, customer data, lending, payments or deposits.
