Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

On behalf of our esteemed client, a dynamic and innovative player in the manufacturing industry, we are seeking a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the mechanical design team in developing high-quality, cost-effective, and innovative mechanical components and systems. You’ll gain hands-on experience in the full product development cycle, working closely with Senior Engineers and cross-functional teams.

Minimum Requirements

• BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
• 1 – 3 years’ experience in a mechanical design role
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, or similar)
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and material selection
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and eager to learn and grow

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems
• Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs using CAD tools
• Support design reviews and prototype evaluations
• Work with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness
• Conduct basic simulations and stress analysis under supervision
• Maintain design documentation and change control records
