Sales Manager International Business

The Sales Manager – International Business will be responsible for developing and managing the company's FMCG business across international markets through distributor partnerships. The role focuses on driving sales growth, expanding market presence, managing distributor relationships, and executing market development strategies to achieve sustainable business growth.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in FMCG exports, distributor management, and international business development, along with an established network of importers, distributors, wholesalers, and key retail customers.

Key Responsibilities

Export Sales & Business Development

• Develop and execute export sales strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
• Identify, appoint, and manage FMCG distributors, importers, and trading partners.
• Expand product distribution and market penetration across all trade channels.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop plans for sustainable growth.
• Drive successful launches of new products and categories across international markets.

Distributor Management

• Build strong relationships with distributors and key stakeholders.
• Develop annual business plans, sales targets, and growth strategies with distributor partners.
• Conduct regular business reviews to monitor performance and identify opportunities.
• Ensure distributors achieve agreed sales, distribution, and visibility targets.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock coverage, and replenishment planning.

Market Development

• Increase product availability and brand visibility across Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Wholesale, Convenience, and Horeca channels.
• Analyze market trends, pricing structures, competitor activities, and consumer insights.
• Recommend market-specific strategies to improve competitiveness and market share.
• Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion and category development.

Commercial & Trade Marketing Execution

• Collaborate with distributors to execute promotional plans and trade marketing initiatives.
• Monitor pricing strategies and ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Support merchandising, visibility, and in-store activation programs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of promotions and recommend improvements.

Forecasting & Reporting

• Prepare accurate export forecasts, budgets, and annual operating plans.
• Monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions where required.
• Provide regular reports on sales, market developments, distributor performance, and competitive activities.
• Maintain accurate export and customer records.

Experience

• 5–7 years of FMCG sales and export experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing international export markets through distributors.
• Proven experience in handling international markets and export business.
• Strong understanding of FMCG export, distribution, and retail channels.
• Existing network of distributors, importers, and key trade contacts is highly preferred.
