Senior Digital Marketing Specialist

Salary: R 40 000,00 to R 45 000,00 CTC per month (depending on experience) Location: Cape Town, Northern Suburbs (Hybrid - minimum 3 x per week in office)

Overview

A leading science and laboratory firm is looking for a seasoned and high-achieving Marketing Manager to direct and execute their comprehensive marketing strategies and brand management activities. This is a strategic and hands-on role that requires experience as a marketing manager, ideally within a similar industry or a B2B product-type business.

You will be responsible for driving the company's brand awareness, consistency, and digital presence, focusing on the scientific audience. You will also oversee product marketing, manage joint supplier marketing initiatives, and lead the marketing team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Independently develop and implement comprehensive marketing tactics aligned with mid-term and long-term company goals.
• Manage, mentor, and oversee the Marketing Team, including performance evaluations and professional development.
• Lead the planning and execution of product launches and marketing campaigns for new laboratory products across various channels (digital, social media, email, traditional).
• Maintain the company's brand image and ensure consistent branding across all marketing materials and platforms.
• Manage the company's digital presence, including the website and social media, to drive traffic, leads, and conversions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to coordinate joint marketing initiatives and maximize co-marketing opportunities.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance, utilizing data-driven decision-making to optimize strategies and increase ROI.Collate market insights from customer and competitor sources to optimize marketing strategies within the scientific industry.

Requirements

• A Marketing degree or diploma3-5 years' experience in:
• Working with digital marketing and e-commerce technologies.A team leadership rolea similar industry or B2B product-type business.
• Proficiency with Marketing Automation and CRM Software.
• Demonstrated ability to use analytics tools
• Strong understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress.
• Basic Graphic Design knowledge and proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite Graphic Design software.
• Advanced understanding of SEO and keyword research tools.
