SUMMARY

My client, based in TechnoPark Stellenbosch has vacancy for a Maintenance and General Assistant to join their team.

The successful candidate must have a Matric certificate as a minimum requirement and at least 3 - 5 years' experience in building maintenance.

POSITION INFO

The primary responsibilities of this role includes general cleaning, maintenance, and support in and around the buildings, as well as reporting defective or damaged items. The successful candidate will assist with basic repair and maintenance tasks, receive contractors where necessary, assist in moving furniture and equipment for staff meetings and functions, and perform basic gardening duties.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: At least 3 - 5 years' experience in building maintenance. Matric certificate as a minimum requirement. Valid EB driver's license. Safety training will be considered an advantage. KEY SKILLS: Good computer skills (MS Office). Good planning and organizational skills. Good verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and English.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform general cleaning and maintenance work in and around the building. Report any defects, damage, or broken items in and around the building. Receive and assist contractors during working hours, as well as after hours or over weekends when repairs or installations at the building are required.

Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers, gas cylinders, and other relevant safety equipment. Assist with moving tables, chairs, and other equipment for staff meetings and staff functions. Provide support with basic repair and maintenance work. Perform basic gardening tasks as required.
