Civil Engineering Site Agent About Our Client The company operates within the civil engineering sector. It maintains a head office in Blackheath, Western Cape.

The Role

Civil Engineering Site Agent The purpose of this role is to maintain production targets for each site while ensuring operations remain within prescribed cost budgets and time frames. The role exists to co-ordinate and control the activities of site staff and ensure all work complies with the quality standards set out in the contract.

The focus areas include pre-project preparation, team management, productivity supervision, and progress maintenance in accordance with programmes and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in a similar position in the civil engineering sector.
• Plan productivity of Foremen and teams by allocating work and instructing on processes and quality standards.
• Supervise productivity by overseeing work, checking progress, and monitoring the critical path.
• Maintain progress in accordance with the programme and budget by monitoring accuracy and informing the Project Manager of variances.
• Ensure all contractual requirements are fulfilled, including project specifications, special conditions, and wayleaves.
• Manage material usage, plant, and labour while taking steps to control wastage and prevent defects.
• Conform to legal and safety requirements to maintain a safe and secure site.
• Liaise with the Client, Engineer, and Local Authorities to fulfil necessary contract requirements.

About You

At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in the civil engineering sector. Relevant Degree or Diploma. Strong experience in planning and programming using MS Projects and or Candy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel, mathematics, and IT skills. Contractual knowledge, understanding, and implementation skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiating skills. SACPCMP registration or similar is preferred.
