About the Role
We are looking for a Graphic Designer who thinks spatially. This is a fully integrated design role, embedded in the project team from day one.
You will shape the concept narrative and graphic language of each project: co-authoring the story with interior designers at inception, then translating it into a graphic language that runs through every layer of the design, from the first presentation to the final installed detail.
Our projects span luxury hospitality, high-end residential design, residential development and product design. Every concept is unique: developed fresh from research, place and story for each project. While the interior and product teams shape the spaces and pieces, you create and safeguard the graphic language they carry, and craft the presentations through which every idea is communicated.
Key Responsibilities
- Concept & Narrative
- Work alongside interior designers at project inception to develop the concept design narrative and project story across luxury hospitality, residential and development projects.
- Create original concepts for every project; research place, culture, material and brand context so each narrative is authentic, visually specific and distinctive.
- Sketch ideas by hand to explore, communicate and test concepts quickly with the design team.
- Craft narrative content that is presentation-ready: concise, editorial and visually driven.
- Presentations & Visual Communication
- Design and prepare all of the project presentations, defining the layout, style and visual identity of each deck so it reflects the project's unique narrative and CCD's standard of craft.
- Create presentation templates and graphic systems that the wider team can work within, keeping every client-facing document consistent and beautifully resolved.
- Produce Photoshop schematic visuals (collages, material overlays and atmospheric imagery) that communicate design intent during concept and schematic phases.
- Support the team with AI image generation: crafting prompts, curating outputs and refining generated imagery into polished, presentation-ready visuals aligned with each project's narrative.
- Graphic Language & Design Development
- Translate the narrative into a graphic language: patterns, motifs, art direction and material graphics.
- Create custom fonts and typefaces where the narrative calls for them, alongside bespoke lettering and typographic systems for each project.
- Create the design intent for signage systems as an extension of the graphic language, from concept through documentation.
- Direct how the graphic language applies across surfaces, objects and spaces, including screens, carpets, textiles, joinery details and bespoke elements.
- Produce graphic implementation packages: artwork files, pattern repeats and scale drawings suitable for fabricators, printers and specialist suppliers.
- Coordinate with fabricators, printers and manufacturers to ensure graphic elements are produced faithfully, resolving technical and material questions through sampling and production.
- Supply motif, pattern and graphic direction to the FF&E and product design teams for bespoke furniture, lighting, guest amenities and branded objects, and review outcomes for consistency with the narrative.
- Maintain the integrity of the graphic language through every project stage, so the story carries from concept through to construction and installation.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration
- Work as a true interdisciplinary designer, bridging brand narrative and visual language with interior architecture and product.ttend project meetings and site visits as required, reviewing installed graphic elements against design intent.
- Read and work with construction drawings, understanding how a motif behaves at 1:1 scale, in section, and in built volume, so your graphic direction is buildable.
About You
- A portfolio demonstrating original, narrative-driven graphic design applied to physical space, ideally within luxury hospitality, residential or branded environments.
- An exceptional design sense, with the ability to integrate story, colour, imagery, pattern and typography into three-dimensional built environments.
- Strong hand-sketching ability; you think through drawing and can communicate an idea on paper in the room.
- Advanced presentation design skills, with a refined eye for layout, hierarchy, pacing and editorial style.
- Expert-level Photoshop skills, including schematic collages, material overlays and atmospheric visualisation.
- Experience with AI image generation tools (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion or similar), with the judgement and craft to refine outputs to a luxury standard.
- Experience creating custom typefaces or bespoke lettering; familiarity with font design tools (Glyphs, FontLab or similar) is an advantage.
- A strong understanding of interior design process, from concept through design development to construction documentation.
- Fluency in branding, narrative and concept creation, with strategic thinking behind every visual decision.
- An understanding of 3D and volume: how graphics live on surfaces, wrap corners, scale across spaces and interact with light and material.
- Working knowledge of furniture and product design, the ability to interpret construction drawings, and experience preparing artwork for fabrication.
- Precision in both visual and written communication; you write and design for presentations that sell an idea through image.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; working knowledge of 3D tools (SketchUp, Rhino or similar) is an advantage.
- Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
