SITE ENGINEER (CIVIL ENGINEERING) - Perai

We are looking for an experienced and highly independent Site Engineer to manage projects from commencement to completion. This position is NOT suitable for fresh graduates or junior engineers.

We are seeking a mature and solution-oriented engineer who is capable of handling multiple projects independently, making sound decisions on site, and delivering results with minimal supervision.

This role is ideal for candidates who are proactive, resourceful and comfortable working in an SME environment where engineers are expected to take ownership of their projects.

Mandatory Requirements* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.* Must possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Yellow Book certification.* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction or industrial project management.* Possess a valid driving licence and own transport.* Willing to travel and work at multiple project sites across Malaysia.* Able to manage projects independently from commencement to completion.

Technical Knowledge

Required

Candidates must have practical working knowledge and experience in:* HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control).* Site safety management and DOSH requirements.* Project planning and scheduling.* Construction methodologies and site coordination.* Gantt Chart preparation and project tracking.* Material planning and procurement coordination.* Method Statements and Safe Work Procedures.* Site inspections and progress reporting.* Technical specifications, project catalogues and construction drawings.* Preparation and submission of project-related documents.* Subcontractor and manpower management.* Client, consultant and contractor coordination.* Quality control and project close-out documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management* Lead and oversee projects from commencement until completion.* Monitor project progress, timelines and deliverables.* Plan, update and monitor project schedules and Gantt Charts.* Ensure projects are completed within the required timeline and project objectives.* Identify project risks and propose practical solutions before issues escalate.
• Site Management* Manage day-to-day site activities and operations.* Coordinate site manpower and subcontractors effectively.* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality and compliance.* Resolve site-related issues independently and efficiently.* Ensure proper housekeeping and site organisation.
• Safety Management* Prepare and implement HIRARC and site safety documentation.* Ensure compliance with all site safety requirements and regulations.* Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings whenever required.* Monitor safety practices and implement corrective actions promptly.* Liaise with clients and relevant authorities on safety matters.
• Procurement & Material Coordination* Plan and coordinate project material requirements.* Monitor material deliveries and ensure timely procurement.* Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors when necessary.* Ensure materials are ordered according to project schedules and site requirements.
• Documentation & Reporting* Prepare daily, weekly and monthly project reports.* Maintain accurate and organised project documentation.* Prepare project submissions, technical documents and site records.* Update project schedules and progress reports regularly.* Ensure all project-related documents are properly maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Client & Stakeholder Management* Attend site meetings with clients, consultants and subcontractors.* Coordinate project requirements with all relevant stakeholders.* Provide practical and cost-effective technical solutions whenever issues arise.* Represent the Company professionally at all times.
