Role Description The Architectural Assistant will support architects in developing design concepts, preparing drawings, and coordinating project documentation. This full-time, on-site role in Penang, Malaysia involves producing technical and architectural drawings, assisting with design development, and updating plans based on feedback.

The role includes preparing presentation materials, such as diagrams, renderings, and layout boards, to communicate design ideas to project teams and clients. The Architectural Assistant will participate in internal reviews, support consultants’ coordination, and help ensure that drawings meet regulatory and project standards.

The position also involves organizing project files, conducting basic research on materials and regulations, and contributing to clear communication within the project team.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Part 1 Qualification
• Strong technical drawing and architectural drawing skills, with the ability to produce accurate and detailed plans, sections, and elevations.
• Foundational knowledge of architecture and design principles, including spatial planning, materials, and building regulations.
• Effective communication and presentation skills to support design discussions, client presentations, and team coordination.
• Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar), and basic graphic tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is preferred.
• Diploma or degree in Architecture or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in an architectural practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback to refine design and documentation work.
