Coffee Specialist (Barista) - Equipment & Training Support

Job Highlights:

• 5-day work week & Bank Holiday.
• Deep dive into the coffee & tea industry with professional training. Key Responsibilites:
• Perform calibration of grinders and coffee machines installed in our customers' locations around Hong Kong. Ensure optimal extraction, including grinder fine-tuning and dosing.
• Execute basic preventative maintenance, including deep cleaning of grinders, group head gasket replacement, and steam wand mainteance.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and schedule external repairs when necesary.
• Deliver training programs for our customers’ staff, focusing on espresso extraction and milk texturing, proper operation and daily maintenance of coffee eqipment.
• Conduct regular, on-site competency assessments to ensure consistency in coffee preparation and service quality.
• Establish and enforce quality standards (recipes, temperature, milk texture) across all operatig shifts.
• Regularly taste (cup) coffee to ensure it meets our brand tandards.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a senior barista, barista trainer, or qualiy controller.
• In-depth knowledge of espresso machinery mechanic and grinders.
• Strong understanding of coffee extraction science, sensory evaluation, and roasing principles.
• Excellent communication and entoring skills.
• SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) certifcation is a plus.
