Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, caring, and motivated Lead Teacher to join our team. The Lead Teacher will plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences, supervise classroom staff, and create a positive, engaging environment for children while maintaining compliance with Wisconsin licensing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily lesson plans and educational activities.
• Create a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Supervise Assistant Teachers and classroom aides.
• Monitor each child's growth and development.
• Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and developmental records.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding children's progress.
• Ensure compliance with Wisconsin DCF licensing requirements.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Work collaboratively with center leadership and fellow teachers.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Lead Teacher qualifications under Wisconsin DCF licensing regulations.
• Previous experience working in a licensed child care center.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for early childhood education.

Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience using Frog Street Curriculum or similar curriculum.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
