Back End Developer

Backend Software Engineer€80K to €90K + Bonus1 Day onsiteI’m currently working with an exciting Irish technology company looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

This is a hands on builder role for a Backend Software Engineer who has been involved in the full integration journey, designing, building, deploying and supporting complex integrations in production.

What we’re looking for:✅ 3 to 6 years’ Backend or Integration Engineering experience✅ Strong hands on experience building integrations from end to end, from initial design and architecture through development, deployment and production support✅ Experience creating reliable integrations between multiple systems, APIs and external partners✅ Strong production experience with AWS, particularly Lambda, SQS/SNS and S3✅ Strong backend development skills in Go, Python, Node.js or similar✅ Experience with event driven architecture and distributed systems✅ Strong understanding of queues, asynchronous messaging, retries, idempotency and duplicate handling✅ Experience designing and consuming REST APIs✅ Strong problem solving, debugging, structured logging and monitoring skills✅ Comfortable using AI assisted development tools as part of your daily workflowExperience with Go, PHP, EventBridge, Step Functions, API Gateway, SOAP, SFTP, XML/XSD, JSON or CSV integrations would be a big advantage.
