Zoniqx is a Silicon Valley headquartered fintech company building institutional grade infrastructure for the tokenization of real world assets. Our platform enables regulated issuance, compliance and lifecycle management of tokenized assets across global markets. We operate across the United States and India, and we work with financial institutions, asset managers and regulated marketplaces worldwide.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer to own the technology vision, architecture and execution for Zoniqx globally. This is a senior leadership role for someone who has built financial products at scale, has worked deeply with AI and blockchain, and is comfortable operating in a fast moving zero to one environment.

You will define the technical roadmap, build and lead the engineering organisation, and translate our product strategy into shipped, resilient systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the overall technology strategy and architecture roadmap, and align it with the commercial and product strategy of the company.
• Lead the design and delivery of financial products built for global markets, with the reliability, security and compliance posture that institutional clients expect.
• Drive the application of AI and blockchain technologies across the product stack, moving beyond experimentation into production grade, differentiated capability.
• Build, scale and mentor the engineering organisation across the India development centre, and set the standards for engineering quality, velocity and accountability.
• Partner closely with the CEO and commercial leadership on product direction, client commitments and technical positioning in front of clients, partners and investors.
• Own the build versus buy decisions, vendor and infrastructure choices, and the technology budget.
• Ensure the platform meets the security, data protection and regulatory requirements of the jurisdictions we operate in.
• Represent Zoniqx technically in client conversations, due diligence processes and industry forums.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience building and scaling financial products for a global user base, ideally in fintech, capital markets, banking infrastructure or digital assets.
• Deep, hands on experience leveraging AI and blockchain technologies extensively, not superficially, within real products.
• A strong track record of defining technology strategy and roadmap and then executing against it, with clear evidence of what was shipped and what it delivered.
• Experience in a startup environment taking products from zero to one, including the ambiguity, resourcing constraints and pace that comes with it.
• Ability to move between architecture level thinking and hands on problem solving as the situation demands.
• Experience hiring, structuring and leading distributed engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the credibility to hold a technical conversation with an institutional client and a commercial conversation with a founder.

Good to Have

• Exposure to regulated environments such as securities, payments or financial market infrastructure.
• Experience working with or reporting into a United States headquartered organisation.
• Prior experience as a founding engineer, VP Engineering or CTO at an early stage company.

Location and Working Hours

Location: Hyderabad, India, or remote within India

Working hours: A shift that overlaps both India and US timings, so expect a working window from mid afternoon into the late evening IST.
