• Sodexo"s Healthcare Technology Management Division seeks an experienced, reliable, & personable Biomedical Equipment Technician 1 for University Hospitals
• Portage Medical Center, located in Ravenna, OH to support Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) for University Hospitals Health System
• East Market.

A valid driver's license and acceptable driver's license record check is required.

What You"ll Do

• Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, maintain and calibrate a basic range of clinical equipment, devices, systems and instruments.
• Provide advanced support of equipment for direct patient care
• Interact on a routine basis with clinical health providers in the identification of technology based problems and solutions
• Solve organization-level customer service issues and complaints
• Prepare required documentation and reports
• Ensure regulatory compliance
• Financial responsibility for purchasing parts and service
• Demonstrate a safety mindset

What You Bring

• Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• The ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices.
• Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.
• Experience effectively repairing, maintaining and calibrating clinical devices such as: General Biomedical Devices- ESU's, Vital sign machines, Defibrillators, Telemetry, IV Infusion Pumps, and Patent Monitoring Systems. (not required).

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate"s Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment and/or equivalent of military BMET program and/or AAMI certified
