What does a Director of Compliance and Continuous Improvement do?
The Director of Compliance and Continuous Improvement plays a pivotal role in optimizing operations by monitoring compliance and spearheading strategic initiatives. This position is tasked with executing independent audits, eliminating waste, and enhancing operational efficiency while ensuring accountability for performance and necessary improvements.
Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy and Finance Officer, the Director will collaborate with senior management and the Legal Advisor to uphold the agency's mission. Responsibilities include coordinating internal audit activities, conducting research on federal transit administration regulations, and assisting with safety audits.
The Director of Compliance and Continuous Improvement will also develop multi-year continuous improvement programs, mentor teams, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
