Our established, small family dental practice in New Orleans is growing! We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and outgoing Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our close-knit team. In this role, you will be a key player in keeping our clinical day running smoothly while making patients feel comfortable and informed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical assistance to the dentist during various procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix proficiently for charting, treatment planning, and scheduling.
• Complete EDDA-specific duties with confidence and precision.
• Educate patients clearly on their treatment plans and post-op care.
• Answer patient questions warmly and professionally.
• Multitask efficiently between chairside assisting, room turnaround, and sterilization.
• Collaborate seamlessly with front-desk and clinical team members.

Requirements

• Certification: Valid Louisiana EDDA certification is required.
• Clinical Experience: Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience.
• Software Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using Dentrix.
• Key Traits: Self-reliant, dependable, and highly self-motivated.
• Soft Skills: Outgoing personality with exceptional communication skills.

• Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Some Fridays (Depends on time of year) 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
