Line & Prep Cook

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Line & Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting in meal assembly, and supporting kitchen operations to ensure efficient service. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality meals for our customers.

Prior experience in food preparation and food safety is preferred, and a passion for cooking is essential.

Duties

• Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to menu specifications
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety standards
• Assist with food handling, storage, and inventory management
• Support kitchen staff during busy service periods by providing timely assistance
• Ensure all food preparation areas meet health and safety regulations
• Assist with catering orders and special event preparations as needed
• Adhere to proper knife skills and food handling techniques during meal prep

Skills

• Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
• Knowledge of menu planning and meal preparation techniques
• Strong cooking skills with familiarity in food industry standards
• 2 years restaurant or kitchen experience preferred
• Excellent food safety practices and understanding of sanitation procedures
• Ability to handle food safely and efficiently during high-volume periods
• Proficiency in culinary techniques, including knife skills and food presentation
• Experience in Saute, Pastry and Pizza stations is advantageous
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and follow directions accurately

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
