An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Coding department at Hampshire Hospitals for an ACC qualified coder. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and motivation to join our well‑established and busy Clinical Coding Department.

As an Accredited Clinical Coder, you will have experience of coding a variety of specialties that occur within an acute NHS organisation. You will have a flexible and adaptable approach to work and strive to create accurate clinically coded data, embracing the national clinical coding standards, rules, and conventions, to ensure the Trust data is sufficiently robust.

This role attracts a recruitment and retention premium of 20% of the basic annual salary.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the volume of uncoded activity in assigned specialties against agreed deadlines. They will also be required to participate in coding audits and assist in the provision of high‑quality information required by the Trust in a timely and accurate manner.

We are a centralised coding team with coding offices on two sites. Coders can work on site full time or have the option to adopt a hybrid working approach, working part of the time on site and part remotely.
