Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wokingham, encompassing multiple positions: Chef (Indian Cuisine – Curry, Tandoori, and South Indian), Restaurant Manager, Head Waiter, and Housekeeping Supervisor. The Chef will plan menus, prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, manage kitchen operations, ensure food quality and presentation, and maintain hygiene and safety standards.

The Restaurant Manager will oversee daily front-of-house operations, manage staff schedules, handle reservations, monitor service quality, and support budgeting and stock control. The Head Waiter will supervise the waiting staff, coordinate table service, assist with training, manage guest queries, and ensure a smooth and efficient service flow.

The Housekeeping Supervisor will organize cleaning schedules, monitor the cleanliness of all guest-facing and back-of-house areas, manage housekeeping staff, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. All roles require close collaboration, a strong focus on guest experience, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Culinary expertise in Indian cuisine, including curry, tandoori, and South Indian dishes, with strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
• Restaurant management capabilities, covering staff supervision, scheduling, inventory oversight, basic budgeting, and maintaining operational standards.
• Front-of-house service skills, including guest interaction, table management, handling orders and payments, and leading a service team as Head Waiter.
• Housekeeping and facility management skills, such as organizing cleaning routines, monitoring hygiene levels, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on teamwork, problem-solving, and maintaining a professional, customer-oriented attitude.
• Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments; prior experience in Indian restaurants or hotels is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, allergen awareness, and basic health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Wokingham, with flexibility for shift work, including evenings and weekends.
