About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Developer with strong expertise in Node.js to join our engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs, ensuring high performance, reliability, and secure integrations across our microservices ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript practices.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations.
• Implement event-driven communication using Kafka and AWS SQS.
• Develop microservices architectures with strong understanding of scalability and distributed patterns.
• Use Terraform to build, automate, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across environments.
• Build and deploy containerised workloads using Docker and AWS ECS.
• Integrate and manage authentication/authorization flows using AWS Cognito.
• Maintain high standards of code quality through GitLab workflows, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and code reviews.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing services for performance and security.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional product, DevOps, and frontend teams.
