Operations Executive

About the Role

As an Operations Executive, you will co-ordinate and administrate operational activities to support SMBP’s Programme delivery strategy. You will assist in the delivery of SMBP’s Work Insights and Skills Weeks, from supporting the onboarding of corporate partners through to delivery of the Programme.

You will engage with business contacts across the UK by co-ordinating meetings with a view of establishing long-term relationships that supports an on-going partnership with SMBP.

You will work under the direction provided by the Managing Director as well as using your own initiative and creative thinking skills.

What You will Do

• Work with the Managing Director to onboard businesses to deliver SMBP’s core Programme; the Work Insight and Skills Experience (WISE) weeks;
• Assist in the planning and organisation of meetings to ensure that businesses are on track to deliver an interactive WISE day;
• Build relationships with regional student sourcing partners to support the Student Outreach Manager;
• Support the SMBP Team in arranging student travel ahead of the WISE weeks;
• Assist with the organisation of resilience training and lead on delivery of the
• Resilience and Goal Planning Days in select regions;
• Carry out Enhanced DBS checks for relevant SMBP roles;
• Assist with preparation of Board Papers;
• Oversee the creation and distribution of invoices and pro formas to ensure timely processing;
• Prepare documents to support the promotion of SMBP and the regional impact of the WISE weeks.

What You will Need

• Proven ability in creating and maintaining relationships at all levels.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and keep to deadlines.
• Proactive approach to work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Pass an Enhanced DBS Check.

Base

The role will include a mix of remote working and UK travel.

Salary

£25,000 - 27,000 DOE
