Payroll Specialist / Senior Payroll Specialist

We are looking to recruit a Payroll Specialist to manage a diverse portfolio of clients and ensure all payroll matters are handled with care and in full compliance with legislation, while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.

Location is flexible, but candidates should be within commuting distance of our Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, or Elgin offices.

The Payroll Specialist/Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for:

• Processing end-to-end payroll, including complex scenarios, ensuring legislative compliance
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payroll and taxation laws
• Administering auto-enrolment processes, including re-enrolment
• Conducting data analysis using Excel skills
• Organising and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines with high accuracy
• Communicating professionally with internal teams and clients
• Managing client expectations and resolving payroll issues promptly

About You

• Proactive in your work and professional development
• Excellent communicator with influencing skills
• Experience with IRIS Payroll Professional/Pay Circle is advantageous but not essential
• Relevant experience in payroll roles is preferred
