PLC Automation Engineer: For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced PLC Automation Engineer for a long contract based in Wakefield, UK. Its paying well and my client can interview asap!
Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair automation and control systems Track and analyze Material Handling Equipment (MHE) performance metrics Collaborate with the EU Controls network to ensure system reliability Develop and present data visualizations for troubleshooting and performance insights Support installation and commissioning of new automation equipment Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings Develop and optimize PLC code compliant with IEC 61131-3 standards Act as the site expert for automation systems Ensure smooth operation of conveyors, sortation systems, and robotics Train Engineering Technicians on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance Experience with PLC-controlled automation systems Experience with tools/technologies such as: Microsoft Office & project management tools PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Codesys) Ladder Logic & structured programming Industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, AS-i) Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) Industrial Automation & Control Systems PLC Programming & Troubleshooting Data Analysis & Visualization
Salary: GBP 40000 - 50000 per year
