Role Overview

Execute design and draughting activities for Concept Front End Engineering Development, Technical Study, and Detailed Design. Prepare structural drawings and designs from agreed work scopes with minimal input from engineering personnel. Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract. Assess effectiveness of working practices and systems to continuously improve personal and team performance.

Carry out work in accordance with project Health Safety Environmental and Quality systems. Conduct site surveys to gather necessary data for design. Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process. Ensure all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule.

Maintain required technical quality of work and keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards, and legislative requirements. Maintain filing system for project documentation. Encourage and provide lateral learning within the project team. Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required.

Assist Lead/Senior Engineer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties. Skills &

Qualifications Structural Engineering

• Strong foundation in structural engineering principles.
• PDMS: Proficient in using PDMS for design tasks.
• Manual Draughting Techniques: Knowledge of manual draughting techniques is advantageous.
• Computer Literacy: Proficient in using databases and spreadsheets.
• CAD Draughting: Sound knowledge of CAD draughting techniques.
• Standards Awareness: Familiarity with codes of practice, standards, and relevant statutory documentation applicable to draughting functions.
• Design Creation: Ability to create base design drawings/models from agreed work scope with minimal guidance.
• Delegated Responsibility: Capable of accepting delegated responsibility for designated tasks.
• Quality Assurance: Experience in acting as a focal point/checking of others' work.
• Education & Experience

Qualifications

• ONC or equivalent in an appropriate engineering subject.
• Experience: Relevant experience in structural design within the oil and gas industry is preferred.
