The opportunity

The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for reconciling inventories at the third party logistics (3PL) and consignment warehouses. The Analyst will compile and analyze various reports and KPIs, as well as be directly involved in the resolution of highlighted issues. This position sits in the Inventory Control Department, reporting directly to the Team Leader, Inventory Control.

The role

• Liaise with the Customer Service Department and the warehouse regarding weekly inventory reconciliation. Document reasons for each variance and take appropriate action to reconcile. Make recommendations to the relevant parties to address recurring root causes.
• Coordinate physical inventory and cycle counts and make the necessary adjustments to reconcile system quantities to physical quantities.
• Compile the annual budgets for consignment accounts.
• Compile and analyze various warehouse activity reports and KPIs for Management on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Address matters affecting inventory control related operations at the warehouses.
• Support Inventory Control management in documenting standard operating procedures in GQS format.

The requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline.
• Three (3) years' experience working in a similar field.
• Ability to grasp concepts quickly.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate to advanced excel skills are required.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a methodical approach to work are essential.
• Strong quantitative skills for data analysis and interpretation are essential.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
