Job Description

We are looking for someone who has experience in leadership within a Pastry program for a high volume, fine dining restaurant. Reporting to our Corporate Executive Pastry Chef, our Pastry Chefs are responsible for leading, motivating and engaging the team by executing the highest standard of culinary excellence. Our Pastry Chefs are also accountable for ensuring the highest quality standards for culinary production, cleanliness, labour control and food hygiene.

You’ll bring professional, enthusiastic innovation to our pastry program, and contribute to the incredible success of one of Atlantic Canada's leading restaurants!

The Day to Day

• Inspire excellence for all team members, while ensuring The Bertossi Group’s dedication to incredible hospitality & spectacular cuisine is met at all levels
• Actively monitors culinary operations, cleanliness & food hygiene standards
• Manages day-to-day financial operations of the venue including ordering, food & labour costs and inventory management
• Develops innovative menu offerings, including features, for our exciting new culinary concept
• Assists in talent identification, recruitment, training & development initiatives as well as staff management & coaching
• Ensures proper health and safety procedures are followed by all team members
