In this role, you will

• Lead & co-ordinate interdisciplinary teams to deliver planning, production, engineering, commissioning and subcontract work scopes to achieve project milestones
• Utilizing project execution control methodology, lead teams to develop daily and weekly workface plans, and detailed project planning schedules
• Coordinate with Project Management to integrate detailed planning schedules into project master schedule, identify schedule risks, and implement recovery plans when required
• Co-ordinate Babcock sub-contract activities for the Extended Docked Work Period (EDWP) of HMCS Victoria
• Ensure quality controls and processes are being implemented and provide support to quality control and assurance audits
• Participate in project metric and performance monitoring systems and provide feedback on variances and achievements
• Provide inputs and support to cost and schedule forecasting efforts
• Support Change Management processes and identify and manage operational project risks for assigned work scope
• Carry out lessons learned at key points throughout the EDWP
• Implement a people-first leadership strategy, with a focus on embedding a culture of trust, teamwork, empowerment and accountability
• Challenge existing processes and procedures and identify opportunities for improvements for the successful delivery of the project

As our ideal candidate, you have

• Previous experience in a Project Leadership role or similar with a proven track record of managing interdisciplinary teams
• PMP Certification to PMI, or be actively working towards this certification within eighteen months of attaining this role
• Broad technical experience with a focus on implementing Engineering Changes is an asset
• Submarine experience is considered an asset
• Experience in a unionized labour environment and multiple subcontracts is considered an asset
• Strong communication skills that can provide relevant messaging to various levels of the organization
• Ability to build relationships, empower individuals and establish collaborative working environments
• You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
