Front Desk Agent and Night Auditor PT

Quality Inn Downtown seeks positive and energetic individuals to join our Front Desk team as Front Desk Agents. In this role, you will register guests and serve as an ambassador for Quality Inn.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exemplary customer service to guests throughout every stage of their stay.

Candidates must have open availability for Days, Evenings and Nights.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional and attentive service at all times
• Process guest arrivals and departures, including all necessary payments
• Upsell guest rooms, packages, and promote other services of the hotel
• Offer referrals for services and handle requests for information
• Follow up on special requests, concerns & inquiries
• Handle and store luggage
• Answering the switchboard, directing calls, responding to inquiries, and taking reservations
• Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk and lobby
• Responsible for managing a cash float and performing cashier duties
• Balancing credit cards, cash, debit transactions, and cheques
• Participate in safety and emergency procedures
• Work closely with the housekeeping department to coordinate room status updates, special deliveries, and maintenance requests
• Other daily tasks as assigned by the Front Office Manager

Requirements

• Must be able to work evenings.
• Previous experience in customer service and ability to handle high volumes of challenging guest-related interactions with professionalism
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with excellent communication and observational skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, be well organized, and detail-oriented
• Ability to use a variety of computer applications
• Cash handling experience
• Maintain the highest standard of professionalism, ethics, grooming and attitude towards guests, clients and other associates
• Maintain professional business confidentiality as required
• Might require lifting of luggage for storage
