- Oracle eBusiness Suite Payroll Specialist/Developer

On behalf of our large transportation client, Brainhunter Systems is looking to fulfill a 1-year contract for an Oracle EBS Payroll Specialist. The successful candidate can work remotely within British Columbia.
OVERVIEW/REQUIRED SKILLS
Scope/Tasks
- Conduct detailed analysis of existing system configuration;
- Identify and recommend specific solutions for remediation;
- Recommend specific solutions for more effective automation of the application, including correct and responsive application functionality and integration;
- Work with the project team to design, develop, code, test, and document enhancements to Oracle eBusiness Suite Payroll functionality;
- Design data structures to support application designs according to established standards and assist with formulating system scope and objectives to develop or modify the existing system;
- Produce technical specifications, application support manuals and reports;
- Conduct configuration of the Oracle eBusiness Suite Payroll functionality in accordance with approved design documents;
- Produce program specifications, based on information provided from Business Analysts;
- Work with the project team to define sprints;
- Support the Project Manager to ensure deliverables meet defined quality standards
Knowledge & Technical Skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Oracle eBusiness Suites r12.2.9 for Payroll, including Self Service, approvals, workflow, etc. (Mandatory);
- Knowledge and experience of Canadian payroll processes (Mandatory);
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle eBusiness Suites r12.2.9 for HR/Finance (Preferred);
- Knowledge and experience of writing/editing custom concurrent programs as part of the automation process;
- Knowledge and experience of improving the performance of custom processes/concurrent programs;
- Extensive experience in writing fast formula;
- Deep experience in Payroll configuration such as, but not limited to, Elements (Earning & Deductions), Compensation, Benefits, Accrual Plans, etc.;
- Knowledge of phases of the systems development life cycle and its effective application to a variety of projects (Mandatory);
- Knowledge and experience with (PL/SQL, Java) and utilities (Toad, jDeveloper), including web development tools (Mandatory);
- Ability to produce technical designs of modules and subsystems consistent with the business requirements specified (Mandatory);
- Considerable knowledge to efficiently analyse customer needs, organize information, identify key factors, create concise and relevant requirements and recommend appropriate solutions (Mandatory);
- Advanced usage of Structured Query Language (SQL) for Oracle Database including data definition language (DDL) (Mandatory);
- Knowledge and experience to analyze existing system interfaces and identify constraints and/or efficiencies (Mandatory);
- Labour operational procedures such as Human Resources, Payroll, Crew Scheduling, Time and Attendance (Preferred)

Team Environment
- Project team consists of PM, Business Analyst, Solutions Architect, Technical/Functional Analysts and a Project Coordinator
