Key Responsibilities

As Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer, you will help shape how generative AI improves Financial Services operations. You will design AI agents that automate key tasks across investment research and portfolio management workflows. Working with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior client representatives, you will ensure each solution is reliable, secure, and aligned with client needs.

You will also contribute to improving core platform features while benefiting from flexible hybrid working arrangements. Success in this role means delivering dependable AI solutions that help financial professionals focus on higher-value work within an inclusive team culture.

• Design, deploy, and evaluate generative AI agents for hedge fund workflows, including research, portfolio analysis, risk, and compliance.
• Translate complex front-office financial processes into reliable agent products that deliver measurable client value.
• Serve as the senior technical lead during client engagements, from solution design through production deployment.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to improve platform capabilities using deployment learnings and client feedback.
• Set standards for reliability, auditability, security, documentation, and operational excellence in financial AI systems.

Key Requirements

To succeed as a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer, you should have strong hands-on experience delivering machine learning or AI solutions in production environments, ideally within finance. A deep understanding of large language models and agentic systems will help you build reliable tools for complex workflows.

Strong Python skills, modern software engineering practices, and clear communication are essential for working across technical teams and business stakeholders. A degree in computer science or a related field is valuable, but proven experience delivering real-world AI products is equally important.

You should be based near Manhattan, able to engage with clients when needed, and committed to contributing to an inclusive global team.

• Bring 5+ years of software, ML, or AI product experience, including 2+ years building LLM-based systems; finance experience is a plus.
• Design, deploy, operate, and evaluate production generative AI applications, especially agentic systems with tool use and orchestration.
• Demonstrate advanced Python skills, strong software engineering practices, and hands-on LLM experimentation beyond standard frameworks.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly with both engineering teams and business stakeholders while documenting solutions effectively.
• Hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience, have U.S. work authorization, live near New York City, and thrive in inclusive, collaborative environments.
