About the Role

The Customer Service Manager is responsible for leading all front-end operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while supporting associate engagement and operational excellence.

This role oversees Cashiers, Customer Service, Self-Checkout, Bookkeeping, Online Pickup & Delivery (where applicable), Courtesy, and other front-of-store functions, partnering closely with store leadership to deliver outstanding service, maintain operational standards, and develop high-performing teams.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop front-end associates to deliver exceptional customer service and operational excellence
• Oversee all front-of-store departments, including Cashiers, Customer Service, Self-Checkout, Bookkeeping, Courtesy, and Online Pickup & Delivery operations where applicable
• Drive customer satisfaction by resolving concerns, responding to feedback, and implementing programs that enhance the shopping experience
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, recognition, and ongoing associate development
• Ensure compliance with payroll budgets, company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
• Monitor key performance metrics, reports, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and improve results
• Train associates on front-end technology, equipment, and operational systems while supporting troubleshooting as needed
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and inclusion across all front-end departments
• Partner with store leadership to execute company initiatives, maintain merchandising standards, and support community engagement programs

What We’re Looking For

• Leadership experience in grocery retail, customer service, or front-end operations
• Strong knowledge of retail operations, customer service best practices, scheduling, and associate development
• Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience using retail technology, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining operational excellence
