JOB DESCRIPTION

32 Degrees is seeking a Social Media Manager to join our Creative Team at our New York City office. This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes social media, understands what drives engagement, and has a strong instinct for creating culturally relevant, visually compelling content.

This role will lead the development and execution of 32 Degrees’ social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, and emerging platforms.

The Social Media Manager will oversee content ideation, creation, scheduling, community engagement, analytics, and reporting while partnering closely with the Creative Team and seasonal intern to bring content to life that is authentic, timely, and unmistakably 32 Degrees.

The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who understands how to balance brand storytelling with social trends, who can identify opportunities, build community, and create content that connects with today’s consumer.

This is a full-time, in-office position requiring a five-day-a-week commute to our Midtown Manhattan office.

Key Responsibilities

Social Strategy & Planning

• Partner with the Creative Marketing Director to develop and execute 32 Degrees’ social media strategy across all channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, and emerging platforms.
• Develop and manage a social content calendar aligned with product launches, seasonal priorities, brand moments, and business goals.
• Identify key brand messages and translate them into compelling platform-specific content.
• Monitor social trends, cultural moments, and platform updates to identify opportunities for relevant and timely storytelling.
• Build a pipeline of social concepts, campaigns, and test-and-learn opportunities to continuously improve engagement and audience growth.

Content Creation & Brand Storytelling

• Create and execute social-first content that reflects the 32 Degrees brand identity, including concept development, production, editing, and publishing.
• Capture engaging content across all brand environments, including office culture, behind-the-scenes moments, on-location shoots, events, product storytelling, and everyday lifestyle experiences.
• Manage daily publishing and scheduling while adapting content plans based on performance insights and new opportunities.

Collaboration & Community Engagement

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand product launches, campaigns, and key initiatives to ensure content is strategically planned and executed.
• Support influencer and creator partnerships when needed, to expand brand awareness and generate authentic user-generated content.
• Develop an authentic connection with the 32 Degrees community through thoughtful engagement, conversation, and audience insights.

Analytics & Reporting

• Own weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual social reporting by analyzing platform performance, identifying trends, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
• Share content learnings, growth opportunities, and strategic recommendations with the Creative Team.
• Develop future content ideas based on analytics, audience behavior, and emerging social trends.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

• 2-4 years of social media and content creation experience, preferably within fashion, retail, or lifestyle.
• A portfolio of work that demonstrates your content creation skills. Applications without portfolio links will not be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
• Experience developing and executing social strategies from concept through performance analysis.
• Ability to create elevated, on-brand iPhone style photo and video content, including short-form vertical video. Comfortable being on camera or participating in content creation is required.
• Strong understanding of what performs across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, and emerging platforms.
• Experience with social analytics and management tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar platforms.
• Experience managing social calendars using tools such as Google Sheets, Asana, Sprout Social, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently, bring new ideas forward, and operate in a collaborative start-up environment.
• Must be able to work in-office five days per week.

Benefits

The estimated annual pay range for this role is $65,000 - $70,000. There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.
