Mid-Level/ Senior Structural Engineer (Buildings)

The Role

Do you have a bachelor’s degree, coupled with a minimum of 6 years’ experience with building design (Educational, Multi Family, Retail, Commercial, Renovations, etc)? Are you familiar with IBC 2021, ASCE-7 (16), and structural design standards (AISC, ACE 381, TMS 602, NDS, etc)? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are a structural engineering firm, looking to appoint a Mid-Level/ Senior Structural Engineer (Buildings).

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of a Mid-Level/ Senior Structural Engineer (Buildings) include, but are not limited to:

• Plan, design, detail and prepare structural drawings including foundation plans, framing plans, sections, details and schedules.
• Develop structural analysis models using Ram Steel, Ram Elements, Enercalc and other

Software packages.

• Collaborate with architects, MEP consultants, Contractors and Owners.
• Review of shop drawings and submittals and respond to Contractor RFIs.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Mid-Level/ Senior Structural Engineer (Buildings) are:

• 8+ years’ experience with building design (Educational, Multi Family, Retail, Commercial, Renovations, etc) based on International Building Codes.
• Familiarity with IBC 2021, ASCE-7 (16), and structural design standards (AISC, ACE 381, TMS 602, NDS, etc)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Substantial experience with structural steel, concrete, masonry, wood, light gauge steel framing.
