𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲

You will be the senior mechanical engineer a manufacturing site leans on when something has to be designed, fixed, expanded, or made to run better.

The scope is broad: design mechanical systems and components from concept through production, lead root cause analysis when equipment or processes break, drive capital projects and facility expansions, and choose the materials, equipment, and technologies the site will run on for years.

It is a hands-on, high-ownership seat with real influence across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, and a clear mandate to mentor the engineers coming up behind you. You are joining an established, global specialty-materials manufacturer with deep technical bench and a long track record, not a place starting from scratch.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘄𝗻

• Lead the design, analysis, and development of mechanical systems and components, from concept through production.
• Apply advanced engineering principles (CAD, FEA, GD&T) to solve complex technical problems and improve product and equipment performance.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action on product and process issues.
• Drive capital projects, facility expansions, shutdown planning, and commissioning.
• Evaluate and select materials, processes, equipment, and technologies to meet operational and product requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement focused on quality, cost efficiency, and production reliability.
• Partner across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to put designs into practice, and mentor junior engineers.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲

• You have designed real mechanical systems and equipment and carried them through to production, not just on a screen.
• You are as comfortable on the plant floor and inside a capital project as you are in CAD, and you like owning the whole problem.
• You have worked hands-on in a manufacturing or industrial environment (chemical, specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, lab or pilot plant, or similar is ideal).
• You lead by influence across functions, make the technical call, and bring others up with you.
• This is not for you if you want a narrow, single-product design seat with no plant or capital-project work, or you would rather advise than get hands-on.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (MS a plus).
• 10+ years in mechanical engineering, plant or facility engineering, or facility design.
• Strong foundation in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and engineering analysis.
• Hands-on CAD and analysis tools (for example SolidWorks, AutoCAD, FEA), plus GD&T, machining tolerances, and tooling (CNC, lathe).
• Manufacturing and plant-operations experience; familiarity with utilities systems (HVAC, steam, compressed air, piping) is a plus.
• Working knowledge of industry standards and quality systems (for example ASTM, ASME).
• A strong communicator and collaborator who turns technical concepts into action and can lead projects across teams.
